Information Economy Meta Language (IEML)
The purpose of this project is to create an artificial language capable of encoding semantic information and allow its navigation and collaborative categorization. The IEML research program's goal is to promote methodological understanding of a large body of data and enable fact-based decision-making.
Peer-to-Peer and Service-Oriented Architectures (P2P)
Research focusing on improving robustness of service-based applications in peer-to-peer (P2P) networks. Robustness is usually achieved by adding redundancy to the overall system, however, peer autonomy and decentralization characterizing peer-to-peer networks prevents this approach. Instead, observing that part of a service may be redundant with respect to some part of another service within a P2P network, a solution leveraging this partial redundancy is developed.
